Boxyard SRL ("Boxyard", "we") operates self-storage in converted shipping containers in Bucharest, Romania. General contact: [email protected]. Information and scheduling: [email protected].
We rent storage boxes — whole containers or shared ones — managed entirely through the Boxyard app and website: digital contract, app or PIN access, camera monitoring, automatic billing. The service is storage space; we do not take custody of your goods.
You must provide accurate details and keep your login and door codes private. Access codes are personal; sharers you invite get their own. You are responsible for activity under your codes, and for the people you grant access to.
Whole-box plans are billed monthly (rolling) or yearly (upfront). Prices include VAT. Payments are charged automatically to your saved card; invoices are sent by email. On checkout you pay only for the days used in the current period. Early checkout from a yearly plan converts the remaining full months to the monthly rate and we refund the difference. Shared-box billing is split automatically between sharers, each responsible for their own part.
No illegal goods, weapons, hazardous or flammable materials, perishables, plants or animals, cash, or anything that smells, leaks or endangers neighbouring boxes. We may refuse or terminate storage that breaks these rules.
The yard and box doors are monitored by camera; recordings and access logs exist for security and are covered by our Privacy Policy. We do not open your box except in emergencies, at your request, or when legally required — with notice where the law allows.
Boxes are watertight, insulated steel — but not bank vaults. Our liability is limited to cases of proven negligence and capped at the fees you paid in the preceding 12 months. We recommend insuring valuable goods; access logs and footage are available to support claims.
You can check out anytime from the app, with no notice period. We may terminate with notice for non-payment or breach of these terms. Goods left after termination are handled per Romanian law: notice, storage at cost, then disposal or sale.
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email before they apply. Romanian law governs; disputes go to the courts of Bucharest, without limiting your consumer rights.
